Image: VioletMaynard07-190.jpg I grew up in Eastern Kentucky listening to the greats of southern gospel music that included...The Nelons, The Hinsons, The Hoppers, The Happy Goodmans, and the list goes on. I began singing with my parents, Rev. Dave Bevins Jr and Joanna at the age of 3 in church. We traveled throughout OH, KY and WV. At the age of 9, I asked Jesus to come into my heart; and, I was privileged to have my father baptist me. In 1981, I started traveling and playing the piano for a group from Louisa KY called The Bradley Gap Trio. We were blessed to minister in song with such groups as The Adkins Family from WV and The Spencers from OH. In 1988, my family moved from Louisa KY to Columbus OH. From 1992-2004, I traveled with God's Ambassadors from Gahanna OH. My duties included vocalist, piano player and bass player. During my tenure with them, we had the opportunity to sing with such artists as The Perrys, The Comptons, The Hoskins, Mike Bowling and The Crabb Family. 2005 was a time of change and growth in the Lord. December 2005, I sang for the first time as a solo artist. What a great evening it was! This music ministry consists of a mixture of styles, with a basis of southern gospel, that I pray will bless all. The mission of this ministry is to share the message of Jesus Christ through song and lead lost souls to Him. What an awesome God we serve!
