Congratulations to the Ryan Mountain Boys who finished up 2011 with a 9 consecutive week run at the top of the Christian Country Chart! The Ryan Mountain Boys (RMB) is a family band that plays christian country, southern gospel & bluegrass gospel music. Papa Jake Ryan has remarked many times that he felt like old King Saul, who, when he saw David, was thinking that he really needed someone beefier. The Lord doesn't give you what you want - but he always gives you what you need! So when mandolin playing Jake felt a calling to minister through music all he had available to him was a 13 years old (yo) Fiddler, an 11 yo Banjo Picker and an 8 yo guitarist - and that was all he needed!. RMB plays at hospitals, rescue missions, churches, elder care facilities and retirement communities (their unofficial motto is: The Older You Are, The Better We Sound!).
In response to many requests they put together their first album of mostly original material, "Pickin' God". The proceeds from this album has allowed them to continue to perform the music they love to those who want and need to hear it the most.
